This is the video taken by a Whangarei woman spreading paranoia over the “chemtrail conspiracy” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtfAU-NVtlE&feature=player_embedded#!
and here are the photos I took on the same morning in the same city, I almost wonder how we didn’t bump into each other . . . that would be spooky!

Theese first two photos taken at 9:42am
Time Taken 10:08am

Unfortunately by the time I pulled my car over and fitted my 55-250mm lense the trail had already been layed. With a bit more practice I should be able to get a few more positive shots.
Nice sequence. Could you caption the photos with the times they were taken so that people can see the time-scale involved here.
BTW – Thanks for this blog site. Someone had to do it. Hopefully Clare, Rose, Bill, Jim and all the rest will come over and post some comments.
Will do after I come down from the euphoria of the AB’s win.
Thanks. So, after as little as 15 minutes (depending on wind shear and ambient moisture content conditions) a contrail is visually indistinguishable from ordinary cirrus cloud.
It looks and behaves just like any other cirrus.
